This is Lowriders Recordings kick off project for the new spoof LOWf. Ard Bit, dutch composer/producer/DJ who moves between post dub step, post IDM, electronics and some of the newer hip moody stuff.
His sound, coming from a IDM background has shifted to a more sensitive tactile layering that is both comfortable on the couch and on the dance floor. It’s sensitive, fragile, layered, between the early floor and headphone kinda music.
The Ellioth ep tells us a story full of mystery, adventure and happiness.
It’s the year 2006. There is melancholy everywhere. A melody plays at a lush rhythm. Beautiful…
Six years later this piece of music reappears. Beautiful and what an extraordinary atmosphere! I would like to work with that.
6002: An unpredictably cosy feeling which takes you out of reality into intangible light tones and mysterious sounds.
Pantanal, Brasil – 2013
DR00152.wav says my field recorder. It’s an enchanting recording of the serenity I experience in the magic of Pantanal. A purling stream, a water tumbler, insects and a bird, beautiful!
This place and the recording are the primary ingredient for Brizal. The serenity and the emptiness in this track reflect my experience there.
Ellioth, the title track, is very special to me. I can’t explain why. Ellioth and I have become friends since the day we’ve met some time in 2011. We let each other go for a while just to meet again a year later with a new perspective.
The beat of Ellioth conquers the beating of the heart, stimulating and happy with a tinge of mystery.
Copane has been in my live sets since 2009. A track with a Dubstep rhythm as base. It’s the genre that has been haunting me since my first encounter. The track never actually turned into a Dubstep banger, but it did become a work of peace and purity. The noticeable loneliness and isolation end in a soothing meditative feeling.
Copane’s melody takes over the dynamic and the rhythm of your thoughts and feeling.
These tracks are the reason to compile an EP.
A coincidence, a satisfied feeling or being in the now leads to very special moments. Moments I have been looking for to build the story. Stories that are told through harmonies, rhythms, noises and field recordings. Every track has his own theme. Together, they are one; Ellioth EP
